Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering a high quality pro-active OH nursing service to all customers
- Responsible for the management and co-ordination of an occupational health nurse team and, as appropriate, occupational health technicians
- Planning appropriate induction programmes and ongoing mentorship for new staff
- Monitor and evaluate occupational health nurses and, as appropriate, occupational health technicians development by identifying individual training needs through appraisal systems and support relevant training programmes
- Involvement in the recruitment of additional team members as appropriate
- Communicating information to occupational health nurses and occupational health technicians relating to new policies, legislation and practices
- Supporting clinical governance issues and best practice standards including regular clinical audit
- Support lead nurses in relation to Customer Client Reviews
Qualifications and Experience
- Registered General Nurse, ideally holding a post registration qualification in Occupational Health at Certificate Diploma or Degree level
- Experienced in delivering Occupational Health services to a wide cross section of business sectors
- Responsible for personal continuous professional development to maintain NMC registration
- Strong case management skills
- Able to lead
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organisation skills are essential to prioritise and manage a flexible workload
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Current, valid driving licence and own transport
