Senior Network Engineer
Working with a leading managed service provider in East Sussex and the South Coast, I am seeking a Senior Network Engineer with a managed service background to join their expanding team.
The managed service provider, established for over 30 years, is growing from strength to strength with new offices being opened in different locations to provider closer working relationships with their clients.
Working with SME’s, you will be a client-facing engineer, installing and migrating on-site across Sussex and Hampshire. You will need the ability to take on a job and take hold the reigns, managing the full life-cycle of the task at hand.
The majority of the migrations will be from earlier server versions, O365 migrations and SQL moves to name but a few.
As the Senior Network Engineer, you will require experience in the following:
- Networking topologies such as firewalls, VLANs, Switches - ideally SonicWALL
- Microsoft tech such as Windows operating systems and servers (8/2003 upwards) and O365
- Migration experience
- Flexibility - the clients you would be working with could have as little as 7 users, up to 200.
With demonstrable managed service experience, a strong technical, hands-on background and client-facing experience, you will act as the in-house IT Manager to a wide and varied client base.
You don’t need to have qualifications/certifications it ITIL, Prince etc. however you will need to be flexible in your working hours. The role is generally 0900 - 1730, Monday to Friday, however depending on the task, this could require some weekend installing or evening patching.
Ability to travel to client sites is a must, therefore you must have driving licence and vehicle.
The position can be based in either in Hampshire or East Sussex, with a salary ranging from £35,000 - £45,000 per annum with an immediate start.
