A Claims Management firm requires 2 Senior Motor Personal Injury Claims Handler to join its team in Leeds City Centre.

You will be managing your own portfolio of Motor Personal Injury files, through to final conclusion. Carrying out desktop investigations, where appropriate, you will assess indemnity, obtain quantum and liability information. Also, following medical evidence and advice, you will negotiate settlement of injury costs in order to bring the losses to a satisfactory settlement. In addition, you will maintain accurate records and keep systems updated with estimates, reserves and progress reports on each file. You must be able to effectively manage your workload and ensure systems, policyholders, solicitors, loss adjusters and third parties are kept up to date with accurate information, throughout the lifecycle of each loss.

As this is newly created team, this is a perfect opportunity for you to make your mark and have genuine input to the systems, processes and procedures used. As the department expands, you will be given the opportunity to become a Team Manager or a Technical Advisor.

It is essential that you have previous experience of dealing with a caseload of Motor Injury files and have sound knowledge in Civil Procedure Rules and MOJ protocols. You will be au fait with current case law and injury guidelines. It is imperative that you have had exposure to dealing with Motor claims from FNOL through to final settlement, including Personal Injury. Most importantly, you must be an excellent communicator and an effective negotiator, with the highest levels of self-motivation.

You will be rewarded with an attractive basic salary of up to £33K, dependent on experience, plus a genuine opportunity to progress via a technical or management route.
