Senior Mental Health Practitioner

Oxford health Trust have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mental Health Practitioner post in the South CAMHS Getting Help Service.

We would also welcome applications from candidates working at Band 5 level who want to progress with the team through a Development Position into a Band 6 role. You will be closely supported through supervision, training, case management and have a competency programme to complete.

The successful candidate will join the South CAMHS locality working closely with the South Getting More Help team and being part of an established Getting Help team. Joining the team to offer the local community an early intervention service, for mental health difficulties. The role will be varied and have lots of opportunity for development. The successful candidate will have access to Oxford Health learning and Development Service and will be supported through a PDR process.

The job role will include managing a case load, completing mental health assessments, offering evidence based intervention, facilitating groups, and taking part in the First Response rota.

The team are based at the Clockhouse which is in the market town of Abingdon on Thames. It is conveniently situated 3 miles from Didcot with its train links, 2 miles from the A34 and 5 miles from the historic city of Oxford.
