Senior Mechatronic and Simulation Engineer, Reading, Circa £40,000 - £55,000
An entrepreneurial engineering organisation are seeking a Senior Mechatronic Design Engineer to join their growing team on a permanent basis to work at their site near Reading.
Working within a high technology environment the Senior Mechatronic Design Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of an exciting prototype automation system to operate in the food & Pharma industry sector.
Other responsibilities include: Simulation and model production flows and production capacity in automated, discrete event manufacturing systems. Assisting with design and development projects within the business and leasing with different departments within the business.
In order to be considered for this position candidates need to have strong experience in a Senior / Principal Mechanical Design Engineer position, and as such gained full life cycle development experience. In addition to this, candidates need to have proven 3D design experience using a top end 3D CAD package such as Solidworks, ProEngineer, Inventor, Solid Edge etc, along with an excellent understanding of modern manufacturing processes, and in-depth knowledge of materials and their characteristics. It would be advantageous to have knowledge / experience in any of the following areas: Experience in the Simulation, modelling and process design of Automation systems using Visual Components and SIMUL8. In addition experience with Robotics, Complex mechanism design, automated machinery design, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Advanced automation systems.
This position will suit a creative candidate excited by the opportunity to work on a unique product range. Transferable positions include Mechanical Design Engineer, Lead Mechanical Design Engineer, Mechatronics Design Engineer and Simulation engineer.
This position is commutable from Reading, High Wycome, Oxford, Basingstoke and other surrounding areas within Berkshire and Oxfordshire.
