ROLE - Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

LOCATION - Northamptonshire

TERM - Permanent

SALARY- £40,000 - £55,000 (Please advise what you're looking for)

The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

  • HNC / HND / Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or similar
  • Good knowledge of the British Standards and be up to date with the latest regulations
  • Ability to understand Design and Build projects and RIBA stages of works
  • A strong understanding of efficiency and sustainability and BREEAM
  • Previous experience and knowledge within a consultancy environment
  • Ability to manage and track numerous projects simultaneously and to understand and produce detailed technical drawings
  • Excellent communication skills, dealing with other employees and external clients

As the Senor Mechanical Design Engineer, your main duties will include:

  • Arranging project review meetings, advising directors on progress and assigning jobs and tasks to your team members
  • Directing the team through each stage of the projects including the meeting with the client, scopes of works, costs and timescales
  • Designing and developing all stages of the projects from planning to completion
  • Liaising with manufactures, suppliers and specialists to provide up to date costs and expert knowledge
  • Undertake site visits and complete surveys and prepare reports.
  • Working at the companies' office in the Northamptonshire area
