Senior Marketing Executive

This full-time role reports to the Senior Marketing Manager (regions) and is based in the Midlands. Candidates will need a strong business to business professional services marketing background within accountancy or law. This role would suit someone who has experience of working across all marketing areas, can work to tight deadlines and is delivery focused. The candidate will be familiar with working in a consultative environment and will have a 'can do’ approach.

Occasional travel to other UK offices will be expected.


  • Manages the development of the Midlands office marketing plan in support of the Midlands business plan, delivering activities related to the plan to build relationships, raise reputation and increase recognition.

  • Develops and delivers comprehensive marketing campaigns to showcase the firm’s service offerings with support from the Midlands Marketing Assistant.

  • Projects will include activities across the full marketing spectrum:

    • events

    • email marketing

    • relationship development programmes

    • market research & analysis

    • content generation for internal and external communications (web, social media, PR)

    • collateral development

    • sponsorship and advertising.

  • Reports on engagement statistics and ROI for marketing campaigns to help develop future communications. Develops effective measures to evaluate marketing activities and improvement performance measures.

  • Effectively manages stakeholder relationships - regular face to face contact with the Midlands partners to monitor progress, introduce ideas, make recommendations for use of marketing channels and drive out content for external communications.

  • Works closely with the Midlands Business Development Manager - advises on campaign plans and collateral content for use in targeting activity. Incorporates BD feedback for campaign effectiveness.

  • Supports the tender process, providing input to content, messaging and advising on brand compliance.

  • Evaluates and shares competitor performance and applies learning to the firm’s marketing projects.

  • Acts as a brand guardian and ensures consistency in the development of all marketing collateral in the Midlands office.

  • Liaises with the Design team to manage the production of core marketing collateral including creating content, editing, proofing.

  • Works with the Senior Marketing Manager and the Regional Marketing team to share content and initiatives.

  • Work closely with national Sector Marketing team to deliver national campaigns and evaluate engagement levels. Identifies cross sector and industry marketing communication opportunities.

  • Works with the Client Insight team to promote effective stakeholder use of CRM and develops appropriate reports and analysis for marketing activities.

  • Works with the Client Insight team to support effective delivery of the client care programme locally.

  • Supports the firm’s PR strategy liaising with the National Communications Manager and local PR agency for local content and coverage.

  • Manages submissions to internal communication platforms for the Midlands office.

  • Works with the National Communications Manager to provide social media best practice knowledge and training locally.

  • Develops relationships with account managers from external organisations, in particular, with whom we have memberships, for example, local Chambers of Commerce.

  • Works with the Senior Marketing Manager to conduct Marketing induction training for new joiners in the firm.

  • A marketing related degree and/or be CIM qualified

  • At least three years’ professional services experience in an accountancy or law firm
