Senior Manufacturing Engineer - R&D - Battery Technology - Materials - Perm - £Comp + Pension + Healthcare

An innovative materials business based in Oxfordshire is currently seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join its technology team on a permanent basis. This is a critical position where you will manage the interface between both business and manufacturers based internationally and provide technical support to both development and R&D teams.

*Coordinate internal and third party manufacturing of current battery technology and acting as sole interface between company and international manufacturing partners.
*Work with the Team to prepare for the development of a world class make-like production facility which will feature key equipment and processes for Research and Development.
*Identify and advise on procurement of equipment and facilities.
*Provide technical support to the Development and R&D groups.
*Assist the Head of Engineering in the co-ordination of external testing.
*Equipment and supplier selection, specification writing, procurement, implementation, commissioning and testing.
*Organisation of project schedules, cost control, liaison with sub-contractors and internal resource management.
*Comply with applicable H&S and Environmental legislation and ensure relevant controls and practices are being adhered to in the design and implementation of equipment and processes.
*Travel to international partners to ensure projects are adhered to strict time constraints.

*A degree qualification in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering.
*Possess a wealth of experience within high-technology manufacturing (batteries, inkjet printing).
*Experience of setting up facilities, equipment and processes for the development of next generation technology.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*The ability to travel frequently to international locations.
