Description

Senior Management Accountant:

• To ensure the accurate and timely production of the monthly management accounts and quarterly forecasts, ensuring explanations are provided for variances against budget.
• To assist and provide guidance to budget holders in the monthly monitoring of income and costs against budget and forecasts. In doing so highlight areas of concern / opportunity and follow up accordingly.
• Preparation of comprehensive and clear monthly and quarterly management accounts commentary suitable for inclusion and distribution to the Board.
• Work in collaboration with budget holders throughout the business in the preparation of Budget and forecast submissions, providing analytical review and support.
• Ensure clear communication with line manager and finance team management on opportunities and risks identified.
• Support in building and maintaining the morale of the management accounts team, including collaboration with peers on development.
• Focus on increasing profitability by analysing and challenging current practices and processes
• To support Managers through the provision of financial input to strategic planning, assessing capital investment projects and help evaluate new contracts as and when required.
• To maintain and update various key financial models.
• To assist in the production of statutory accounts, ensuring auditors sign off accounts within time-lines.
• Production of information for auditors, banks, shareholders and other external bodies.
• To carry out such other duties commensurate with the grading of the post which may be determined from time to time.

Profile

Senior Management Accountant:

• Finalist CIMA /ACCA
• Experience within manufacturing advantageous
• SAP knowledge essential
• Have good experience in Management Accounts
• Strong communication and business partnering essential
