Senior Laboratory Technician
Salary £ 23k - 25K

My client is looking for a Senior Laboratory Technician, in this role you will work with others in the Laboratory delivering professional, quality assured laboratory support. You will be mainly working in the Testing Laboratory as well as other laboratories as required.
Duties will include:
Registration of new samples ready for analysis.
Preparation of the samples
Set-up and monitoring of routine laboratory tests, following standard protocols.
Dispatch of samples for additional analysis.
Archiving of samples.
Planning and scheduling the weekly lab work, monitoring samples through the analysis process.
Helping with Quality Assurance monitoring, lab organisation and instrument calibration checks.
Authorise and QA check results for issue.
Work with the Laboratory Manager and Consultancy team to modify and develop new methods.
Experience and requirements:
Previous experience working within a laboratory
Life Science degree
Ability and commitment to use scientific discipline and good laboratory practice in your work
Ability to work methodically
Excellent communication skills
Ability to follow complex protocols, standards and SOPs.
Ability to work well within a small team
Able to define problems, making careful and accurate records, draw valid conclusions, and make recommendations.
Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
