Senior Java Engineer
Modern stack, great company, 60k to 70k,
Your new company
A well known international business has set up a technology hub in Burgess Hill. It's a significant operation with a modern stack, flexible working environment and beautiful offices. Essentially, it's as far removed from a 'corporate feel' as it can get, with a focus on work / life balance and working with the best tech on offer.
Your new role
Dozens of scrums sit within the hub. They all work with the many business lines that the business operates in, which could be membership schemes, mainframe to cloud migrations, global travel and more. It's a diverse set up, and they need experienced Java developers to propose new ways of working.
What you'll need to succeed
If you're passionate about technology and want to keep your skill set relevant, and want to work on global development projects, get in touch.
Experience in a big company isn't a prerequisite; if you love coding, you'll love it here.
You will be able to demonstrate significant technical achievements within Java. The Senior Engineers are still very much 'hands on' with code, so it's important that you can demonstrate up to date knowledge of Java 8. You will be a thought leader with a passion for technology, eager to join an ambitious team with ambitious plans.
What you'll get in return
The career progression opportunities are fantastic; moving between teams to learn new skills and tech is heavily promoted, and everyone has a personal development plan tailored to their needs. If you want to travel, they have a global presence with offices all over the world.
There's also the competitive salary, a defined contribution pension scheme, a heath care scheme, flexible benefits and a generous annual leave allowance that rises with service. There is a subsidised onsite restaurant, team activities such as sports and board games, a social culture, on site health checks, a central location close to public transport links and free parking on site.
They encourage a healthy work life balance and have won awards for diversity and inclusion. They will consider part time applications, as well as people returning to work.
