We are looking for a Senior Java Developer who is ready to join one of five cross-functional Agile teams that together are leading the online travel space with never-before-seen features that sit at the front of a platform capable of ingesting 10s of billions of data points every day.

As a Senior Java Developer joining this team you will work with the latest versions of Java as well as the leading technologies for data indexing such as Solr, you will work to connect the end-users with this incredible and complex platform that is capable of generating 100s of millions of options for the user. Not only that, but the Senior Java Developer stepping into this role will be working on business-critical projects such as the migration to Google Cloud Platform and the constant redevelopment of the Search function you will be joining.

Joining now as a Senior Java Developer, you will be involved at a crucial time for this brand, as due to an influx of investment there are now plans underway for global expansion which will mean many projects opening up to drive this platform even further.

To succeed in this role as a Senior Java Developer, you will need:

  • Experience with at least Java 7, preferably Java 8 (you will at least be able to explain the new features in Java 8 and how they affect your development)
  • Knowledge and experience building Microservices and REST API's using Spring Boot
  • Previous experience working in an Agile environment
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and understand how they fit in to the software development process

This expansion also means there's room for you to grow in the future, if that's what you want. You could go on to become a Tech Lead where you'll be more closely monitoring the junior staff as well as having more input on the general architecture and design of major projects.
