IT Support Analyst, Newcastle upon Tyne
Salary: up to £25,000

Our client is a family business who have grown into a national wholesalers with branches all over the UK. They're now in a position where they're looking to increase their windows based helpdesk support team. The successful candidate will be supporting over 100 users across 11 sites over the UK. You will develop skills in networking, infrastructure, backup software, document management software, VMware and SQL.

- Provide first-line technical support as required to all company employees
- Troubleshoot problems and implement suitable solutions
- Carry out routine maintenance and upgrades as directed
- Administer Microsoft Windows domain, Google Apps and company website
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, printing and network connectivity faults
- Install and configure PCs, laptops, printers, mobiles (iOS, Android) and network equipment

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with excellent telephone manner
- Excellent problem-solving, organisational and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively as part of a team or independently
- Adaptable learner, enthusiastic, focus driven and able to work under pressure
- A solid understanding of Windows Server administration

Desirable Skills:
- Any Cisco or Microsoft certified qualifications e.g. CCNA, MCITP will be an advantage
- Understanding of ERP Software
- SQL Scripting Skills
- HTML, ASP, VB Script or another scripting language

The successful applicant will have previous experience in a support role, a broad knowledge of IT, networking, server hardware and software. They must be able to work well within a team, communicate effectively with end users and at board level, and be self-motivated enough to manage their own workload.
