A great opportunity has arisen within our IT department at SAS International’s largest headquarters in Bridgend. The successful individual will and will work closely with the Group IT Manager, the Business Improvement Team, as well as 3rd party development consultants. To be responsible for reviewing, analysing and occasionally modifying systems including testing, debugging and installing to support application systems.
Essential experience of working with Office365; Dell desktops, laptops and servers, Windows 7 and Windows 10.
Excellent communication skills
Highly organised, with the ability to manage a number of conflicting priorities
Desirable experience with Windows Deployment Server and MDT; CiscoMeraki networking; Hyper-V platforms; PRTG Monitoring along with Grafana; PDQ Deploy and Inventory; Hybrid storage; McAfeeEPO platform; Unified Communications technology ; Microsoft Surface Tablets, Surface Books and Surface Hubs; Freshdesk Helpdesk platform; Confluence; Mobile phone deployment; Autodesk2D and 3D applications (Autocad and Inventor primarily).
Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new IT software projects and initiatives to support and enhance our existing Microsoft based systems.
To be responsible for writing documentation to describe custom configuration of applications and operating procedures to liaison with 3rd party application development consultants.
Identify opportunities that can improve efficiency of business processes.
Investigate and resolve application functionality related issues and provide first level support and troubleshooting of our internal systems.
Assist in troubleshooting software application issues.
Assist with application installation and testing.
Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirements.
Analyse data contained in the corporate database and identify data integrity issues with existing and proposed systems and implement solutions.
Provide assistance and advice to business users in the effective use of applications and information technology.
Write technical procedures and documentation for the applications including operations, user guide, etc.
Produce technical documentation for new and existing applications.
Participate in weekly meetings with the IT team to discuss progress and issues to be resolved, and report progress on a weekly basis to the Group IT Manager
Participate on IT project steering committees and be involved in the design phase of any new IT software development projects.
Serve as a liaison and facilitator between all business units to assist in addressing and resolving IT software issues.
