An excellent opportunity has become available for a Senior IT Support Technician to join our Client, an established Organisation within the infrastructure sector on a permanent, full-time basis. The successful applicant will provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd level technical support and guidance to the business, working with IT team to deliver projects and providing solutions to technical problems and requirements.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience with providing up to 3rd line support, including MS technologies, mentoring junior members of the team and prove ability to meet targets. If you have exceptional customer service skills, string analytical capability and able to work independently, then this can be the perfect opportunity for you.

Senior IT Support Technician Key Responsibilities

  • Providing 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support whilst utilising excellent customer service skills

  • Responsible for all support calls within the business, and ensuring they are resolved

  • Ensuring issues are reported immediately through the correct channels, including injuries and near misses

  • Investigating improvements and better ways of working for the business

  • Balancing business with security, ensuring risk management is still valid and the business is aware

  • Reporting departmental KPIs every period and flagging issues

  • Ensuring daily checks are completed and issues are pre-empted

  • Supervise and mentor junior members of staff, delegate workload accordingly

Senior IT Support Technician Skills and Experience

  • 4+ years’ experience working in an IT support capacity (up to 3rd line)

  • Educated to a degree level or relevant qualification

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail

  • Ability work independently as well as a part of a team

  • Good understanding of MS technologies, firewalls etc
