Having taken on several new clients, we’re looking to employ a senior IT support engineer in this exiting period of growth.

We’re a small company, and relatively new, but our reputation is such that schools are approaching us. We’ve never yet advertised our business yet.
This vacancy will suit someone who really cares about doing a good job, someone who is not afraid to put in the hours required to get the job done, who wants to get to know the customers and go above and beyond for them.
Yes, you will also need to have good technical and problem solving skills, and you should know most of the following technologies:
- All Microsoft desktop operating system
- Microsoft Server 2008 and higher
- Active Directory
- Group Policies
- Microsoft Exchange
- Office 365
- SQL Server
- Sims knowledge would be good
- Networking including VLANs
- Wi-Fi technology
- Audio Visual
- Scripting; VB Script, batch files, PowerShelletc
You will be working with schools so will need to have a clear DBS check, and any experience working in schools will be an advantage.
Also need to have a car as you’ll be expected to make on site visits.
Obviously previous IT support experience is a must, qualification are not. Hopefully you’ll be able to demonstrate your skills and ideally, you’ve already work in the education sector.
There is no "typical day" with this work as you could be visiting several sites per day and the next you could work from home. One job could be a simple PC issue, the next might be to resolve a critical server issues.
Schools holidays are often busy periods for the company. It’s the best time to setup new servers, do complete IT refresh or upgrade, setup a new Wi-Fi system etc.
Salary depends on skills and experience but likely to be between £25k and £38k
