Senior Intercompany Accountant

As a Senior team member YOUwill:

Be responsible for the accurate and timely reconciliation, analysis, reporting and issue resolutions of the company's Intracompany Reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly P&L account reconciliations for below the line accounts globally
• Prepare monthly B/S account reconciliations for the intracompany relationships
• Prepare Financial and Operational Metrics for the areas of responsibility, drive continuous improvement of the area managed in cooperation with the ICOE team (Intercompany Center of Excellence)
• Work directly with Finance and Operational teams
• Provide accounting support to the Treasury, Procure-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report departments from an Inter/Intracompany perspective
• Active participation in finance and accounting related projects
• Participate in migration of additional accounting activities, processes to GBS
• Demonstrate process improvement mindset and make all necessary efforts to standardize and harmonize procedures migrated
• Ensure that all relevant key controls are in place and functioning properly in accordance with internal policies and procedures and Sarbanes Oxley rules and regulations
• Work with external auditors during annual reviews/audits by preparing information requests and addressing inquiries.
• Assist with ad hoc business and internal management requests
• Recommend and implement process improvements that maximize the team’s efficiency/effectiveness
• Provide guidance, education and training to less senior team members
• Responsible for the operational accounting activities of Corporate entities registered in the area of International
• Oversee the accounting activities for Equity Investments
• Assist with Intra and Inter company Policies and Procedures

Requirements that make you the best candidate:

•  Recognized business degree in accounting (CPA, ACCA, CA or equivalent) or good progress to graduate
•  5+ years of relevant post qualification work experience in a broad range of accounting functions (intercompany, Big4 experience are welcome)
•  Demonstrate proactive approach to challenges and issue resolution. Ability to take initiative, follow through and complete tasks on time
•  Demonstrate strong and up-to-date accounting knowledge (US GAAP/IFRS).
•  Proven records for identification of process efficiency/effectiveness improvements opportunities and propose suggestions
•  Proven record of leading involvement in process improvement projects
•  Proven record of strong understanding of general accounting principles, concepts and processes to be able to form an opinion on accounting and process matters
•  Recognized by stakeholders as a business partner
•  Excellent business English language skills both oral and in writing (B2/C1 or above)
•  Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Outlook, Internet Explorer, MS Project, MS SharePoint)
•  Demonstrated ability to support/temporarily substitute line manager in operational matters
•  Demonstrated people management skills or experience and proven record of applicable skillset
• High level of sensitivity to risk management and process control
