Title: Senior Infrastructure Consultant
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000
Location: Leeds (on-site/hybrid)

We aim to enlist an IT Infrastructure Specialist to collaborate within the Infrastructure team, dedicated to enhancing, sustaining, and backing the worldwide IT Infrastructure that caters to over 10,000 employees across 100+ locations.

This role involves the enhancement and upkeep of the company's global infrastructure, encompassing vital elements such as servers, expansive and localised networks, Wi-Fi, Windows desktop, unified communications, and cloud technologies (M365, Azure AD, OneDrive, Azure Arc, EndPoint Manager, and Defender ATP), with a primary focus on enhancing user experience and bolstering security.

Your responsibilities will encompass the proactive enhancement, optimisation, convergence, and ongoing development of the infrastructure, with an eye on future scalability. Managing various projects and tasks, you will offer insights and direction on maintaining the cloud, servers, networks, and security environments. Additionally, you will be tasked with planning and executing necessary hardware and software upgrades and ensuring the successful completion of planned processes.

Responsibilities:
? Oversee, assist, and uphold the worldwide on-premises and cloud infrastructures.
? Supervise the continuous global transition from on-premises IT infrastructure to a cloud-managed setting.
? Formulate, supervise, and execute infrastructure projects for the implementation of company-wide initiatives.
? Address 2nd / 3rd line Help Desk inquiries, assisting them to resolution, and manage routine support tasks, offering technical guidance and mentoring.
? Conduct regular preventive maintenance checks, inspect logs and servers to ensure proper patching, and take corrective measures to address any issues.
? Safeguard the security and integrity of data and IT systems while educating staff on effective work practices.
? Administer relationships with external suppliers and support agencies for the continual support and maintenance of the global infrastructure environment.
? Take responsibility for ensuring that all work and modifications are conducted in a manner that minimises disruptions to existing business operations.
? Proactively design and document infrastructure processes, procedures, and standards, maintaining or creating system and software documentation as instructed.
? Ensure technology use, management, and support align with my clients standards, policies, and procedures.
? Establish operational guidelines and document procedures for the design and oversight of networked applications throughout the organisation.
? Collaborate with the Global IT team on global initiatives and deployments.
? Oversee the technical aspects of office relocations and alterations.
? Test and implement software updates, with a particular emphasis on security updates.
? Ensure the existence of adequate data backups both on and off-site, regularly testing backup and restore processes.

Technical Requirements:
? Proficient handling and assistance in the Microsoft 365 realm and Administrative Center (Microsoft cloud technologies, M365, AzureAD, Defender ATP, EndPoint Manager, OneDrive, etc.).
? Thorough comprehension of Microsoft Technologies, encompassing Windows Servers (2012, 2016 & 2019), Active Directory, and Group Policies.
? Extensive familiarity with VMWare, vCentre, & ESXi.
? Sound understanding of Storage, SAN, NAS & Backup Technologies.
? Holistic IT infrastructure expert with a minimum of 3 years of practical experience.

Additional Desirables:
? Hands-on experience of installing, supporting, and managing NetApp Storage solutions.
? Azure cloud landing zones, networking & automation.
? Extensive knowledge of IP, WAN, LAN (HPE servers & Aruba Switches) & Wifi Networking, specifically Aruba.
? Experience of Druva Cloud, Veritas Backup Exec and Veeam Backup technologies.
? Working knowledge of the Microsoft EndPoint Management solutions (Defender, InTune,) etc.
? Implementation and management of Active Directory/Group Policy management within a corporate environment.
? Management of Zabbix & SolarWinds Patch Manager.
? Previous experience of working in an IT project environment, with active involvement within a managed project.
? Implementation and management of web technologies, for example IIS, .NET, SSL-VPN, token authentication, etc.
? Previous experience of IT integration projects covering email environment, file access, domain membership & user migration.
? Good working knowledge of firewall and security technologies.
