Senior HR Manager
Interim until the end of March (possible extension)
Salary c£50k will consider day rate + £6k car allowance
Full time only
Location - Manchester
We are recruiting for a well known large scale business in rail/engineering industry.
This role would be to work as a Senior HR Manager with the support of 2 HR Managers directly reporting in to support a staff base of approximately 700 staff. Staff base wise the workforce will consist of more junior and senior technicians, mechanical & electrical engineers and also some head office functions with operation managers & directors. The business is about to go through a huge change programme with a major merge and they will be also restructuring this area of the business which will be a large focus within this role. The client is looking for somebody with really good stakeholder management skills and somebody who is not afraid to speak up as you will be the only voice within the HR function for the business unit.
Clients preference experience
Rail/strong engineering background
Candidates must have strong unions experience not just with reps but with the formal union's officials
Blue collar background
Must have a wide knowledge of restructuring
Experience of managing staff at senior level (HRM level)
Really good experience of policies and procedures and how to run a business closely in line with these.
Of the role was to be employed then this would come with 8% pension, 25 days holiday, and a car allowance of c£6k
