Senior HR Advisor

Macildowie HR are working with a leading award winning business in Leicester as they are looking to recruit a Senior HR Advisor/Business Partner to join their team to support HR operations and strategic projects. Looking for a proactive and confident HR Advisor with a proven track record of working in a fast-paced organisation. You will have experience providing first line advice in a generalist HR role and want to progress your career.

The role is a perfect stepping stone for an HR Advisor wanting to become a HR Business Partner. The role is based in Leicester paying between £30,000-£35,000 plus excellent benefits.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of HR you will use your excellent interpersonal skills to support the HR team and be responsible for advising across the UK. You will build strong and effective relationships with line managers across the business, whilst providing employee relations advice on disciplinaries and grievances, absence management, performance issues, training & development and policies and procedures etc. You will also analyse metrics and data to produce reports to ensure you are always pushing HR forward.

You will assist managers in the development of appropriate recruitment and selection practices including participating at interviews, administering psychometric and ability testing instruments to run recruitment campaigns from beginning to end. Once you have embedded yourself into the organisation, you will then work with the Head of HR on talent management, leadership programmes succession planning.

You will take a lead role in the process of organisational change, including business restructure, redundancies, harmonisation of terms and conditions of employment, TUPE transfers and acquisitions in a true generalist role to support the business goals.

Key projects: Writing a HR business plan on the evaluation of last year, people strategy for next year, how can HR add value, talent management & leadership programmes, performance and L&D initiatives to name just a few!
