As a member of our Leadership and Organisational Development team, you will be integral to the provision of a comprehensive portfolio of staff and leadership and management development. You will be a key player in relation to the implementation of the Performance and Development Planning process in addition to supporting any initiatives e.g. Orientation Plans; Networking; Training Delivery and Evaluation; Equality and Diversity related activities.
Due to the changing landscape of the Higher Education sector and consequently the challenges this brings in relation to people management practices, you must be able to build and maintain credibility as an HR professional, whilst operating within a consistently demanding environment. Excellent organisational and communication skills are therefore essential.
You should have a degree or equivalent qualification in addition to the CIPD Level 5 Certificate in Human Resources Practice or Learning or Development or equivalent and be able to demonstrate sufficient and appropriate HR or training experience with similar levels of responsibility. You must also have practical experience of implementing appraisal systems and developing and delivering learning and development initiatives using IT and face to face methods of delivery. Knowledge of recruitment and selection, employment law and equal opportunities legislation are also essential. A proactive approach to continuous personal/professional development is essential in this role to ensure knowledge and training materials remain current.
