Senior Housing Legal Advisor

An organisation in Cheshire is seeking a senior housing legal advisor for a newly created position in their in-house legal advice team. This organisation has a number of legally trained individuals in place, and they are looking to increase the knowledge base in the team by recruiting somebody with housing law experience.

The role will report to a team manager, and will work in partnership with solicitors and the company secretary.

Responsibilities include producing documents and guides about housing law updates for the website, understanding changes in housing legislation, providing training to more junior members of the team on a regular basis, dealing with more complex queries from members (this will require good legal knowledge and experience) and attending meetings.

You will most likely have a law degree, LPC or be undertaking your CILEx qualifications, and have experience as a housing paralegal, and be confident in your ability to coach others in landlord and tenant law. You should have knowledge of the private rented sector.

Salary for this role is dependent on experience and likely to be between £25,000 and £28,000. This is a nice organisation to work for, which has grown quickly over the last few years, and really looks after its staff.

For further details and a confidential chat about the role please contact Adam Zdravkovic in the Legal division at Search Consultancy.

Search is an equal opportunities recruiter and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified applicants, regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age.
