Joining Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue Service during its exciting transition with Greater Manchester Combined Authority offers a great opportunity for a dynamic safety professional to join a forward thinking and pro-active health and safety team.
You will play an important role in:
Developing and implementing health and safety management arrangements in a multi-disciplinary organisation.
Advising, educating and supporting colleagues on all areas relating to health and safety in high risk and varied environments.
- Proving line management responsibility to help develop trainee and apprentice safety practitioners.
- Delivering training
An experienced safety and health practitioner (minimum of a NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety)
Chartered Member of IOSH
Able to demonstrate a pro-active and enabling approach to risk management and ability to create positive working relationships
Experienced in creating and building relationships through effective interpersonal skills with internal and external partners.
Pro-active in working with colleagues to further improve the health and safety culture of a multifunctional organisation.
