Senior Group Accountant

**HIRING** - Senior Group Accountant - £60-65,000+ Bens - West End

KPC are working with an established but continually growing FTSE 250 Property developer/investor who are looking for an ACA Qualified accountant with industry exposure in a technical/reporting capacity.

Due to continued growth our client is looking add further technical experience to their team. The opportunity whilst reporting focused is varied and will offer great exposure to the business.

Reporting directly into the Head of Group Reporting and working closely with Head of Finance, CFO & CEO, responsibilities will include:

Group External Reporting:

  • Preparation of results announcement Annual Report
  • Preparation of accounting papers on technical accounting issues and major transactions
  • Timely review and update of Group Accounting Policies in line with current IFRS
  • Lead on-going improvements to EPRA disclosures (gold standard)
  • Co-ordination with investor relations and asset management teams on the front section of the results announcement
  • Drafting of cash flow statement workings for review
  • Involvement in quarterly Group consolidation and Board reporting:
  • Lead integration of newly acquired Serviced Office Portfolio and work closely with service provider to ensure efficient and high-quality information is received (including transition to Yardi)
  • Review Hotel Portfolio management accounts, finance inputs to Hotel Board reporting and quarterly dividend recommendations
  • Review and sign-off of Group consolidation journals prepared by team members
  • Input to and review of Group consolidation completion and variance analyses for management review
  • Review of audited financial statements for subsidiaries/sub-groups prepared by team members in accordance with IFRS/UK GAAP (FRS 101)
  • Integral involvement in Group and subsidiary audits
  • Assistance with maintenance and development of robust financial controls and general improvements to finance function
  • Work closely with Head of Group Reporting on Annual Risk Management process
  • Provide accounting support and guidance to wider finance team, including European Portfolio administrators and Serviced Office outsourced accountants
  • Co-ordination of internal audit programme and liaison with internal auditors
  • Ad hoc requests from Management, including Deputy CEO, CFO and Head of Finance
  • Financial reporting support for transactions and input into market updates and investor collateral

This is highly critical role within the organisation and will also be very exposed to senior management, giving you a great opportunity to add value to the business.

To be considered you must have/be:

  • Qualified ACA (from Practice) with (ideally) 2 years PQE within Industry
  • Real Estate/Property sector experience is highly desirable
  • Group/Consolidation exposure (Preferably with EMEA exposure)
  • Strong business partnering skills
  • Ideally 1 month notice (will wait 3 months for the right person)
