Heyland Finance are pleased to be working on an exclusive basis with a dynamic & growing International specialist manufacturer based near Chester. Over the last few years they have expanded their product range and invested in new markets via organic growth and reciprocal joint venture agreements. Due to this sustained growth they are currently looking to recruit a high calibre individual into the newly created role of Senior Financial Planning Analyst.

The focus of the role is to provide accurate and timely planning, reporting, analysis and insight with a key focus on costs; and to enhance existing reports and models that make data more visible and actionable to senior management. In doing so to effectively work as part of a team to drive the ongoing commercial success of the business through identifying risks and opportunities.

Responsibilities:

o To provide accurate & timely financial reports, analysing the current financial status of the Group.
o Act as a finance business partner to multiple teams, ensuring drivers for performance are clearly communicated and insight provided to managers.
o Drive a culture of cost consciousness, embedding ownership of costs with all stakeholders and each business leader.
o Work across the organisation, providing support to those that need it and obtaining information when it is required
o Prepare financial projections
o Develop ad hoc business analysis
o Compare anticipated and actual results and identify areas of improvement
o Participate in budgeting

Attributes:

o The successful candidate will design new and enhance existing reports and models that make data more actionable and will own reporting functions during budgeting and forecasting.
o The successful candidate will have the ability to tackle multiple projects and attain deliverables.
o Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as an ability to think clearly, analyse quantitatively, problem-solve and prioritise.

Qualifications & Education

o Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
o 2yrs+ experience working as a Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Analyst or similar role
o Hands-on experience with financial and statistical software
o Expertise in MS Excel (creating spreadsheets and using advanced formulas)
o Familiarity with finance databases

o Ability to present financial data using detailed reports and charts
o Highly analytical and detail oriented
o Proven ability to work successfully in an autonomous environment
o Ability to work on multiple projects within aggressive deadlines
