Senior Events Coordinator

Salary: 23.755 - 26,113

26.5 days holiday plus 6% Employers Pension Contributions

London South Bank Students’ Union is a progressive student led organisation that represents and supports its 17,000+ members and has consistently been one of the most improved Unions in the country over the past 5 years. The Union employs 19 full time staff and has a turnover of over £1m. This opportunity is an exciting and varied role where contact is made with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and all levels of seniority.

If successful, you will lead on LSBSU Events and be expected to be part of an environment where a culture of excellence in customer service is standard. Ideally you will have experience in identifying, meeting and surpassing expectations of your customers.

We have a range of events in terms of size and scale and you will be expected to organise key events throughout the year such as Fresher’s week, Fresher’s Fayre, award ceremonies, balls and other special events. We also have a weekly events schedule that you will deliver and maintain.

Hours of work will vary depending on operational requirements and periods of peak activity. Staff are expected to portray a positive image at all times, both internally and externally of the Students’ Union by displaying high standards of service, integrity, punctuality, politeness and professionalism. Attendance at conferences and meetings, both internal and external, will be necessary.

The post holder will have to be pro-active, organised, flexible and have the ability to prioritise a varied portfolio of work.
