Job Position: Senior Electronics Control Systems Engineer

Reporting To: Reporting to the Principal/Lead Electronics Engineer, the successful candidate will join a focussed and passionate team, working on new rapid prototype group automation research programmes, to include remote control, teleoperation, machine assist and high levels of machine automation.

Job Status: Permanent

& Experience: Degree/HND in Electronics/Software Engineering
Considerable responsible experience in either Automotive and/or Off Highway industries
Practical hands on experience with vehicle electrics and ECU hardware.
Proficient in using Mathworks Software Tools for Embedded Code Generation with knowledge and use of Robotics Systems and Computer Vision Toolbox, for use on dSPACE and other hardware platforms
Knowledge and experience of vehicle automation applications using ROS (Robotic Operating System) on Embedded Linux hardware platforms
Experience with using LiDAR, Camera, Ultrasonics, Infra-Red and RADAR sensors to include data fusion for autonomous applications
Cyber Security awareness and knowledge of emerging standards for the Off Highway industry
Appreciation for Functional Safety standards to include ISO 13849, IEC 61508 and ISO 26262

Responsibilities: Create and develop new prototype automation control software using Model Based Design and/or with manual coding experience.
Capture and generate Requirements documents in parallel with any software developments.
Evaluate and integrate your own software solutions to run on a number of different ECU hardware options.
Work closely to support and guide other people within the team and group.

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
