Senior E-commerce Manager
We are working for a well established British fashion brand that has a unique opportunity to experience spectacular growth.
Reporting into the CCO, the Senior Ecommerce Manager will be responsible for delivering the trading targets for the business. This will be achieved by driving the required levels of traffic across all online marketing channels, and then greeting that online footfall with a fantastic customer experience on-site. You will be supported by an Online Trading Manager.
You will also be accountable for driving footfall to stores - this is a critical part of the role. You will form strong relationships with the ATL Marketing personnel, particularly around initiatives to drive Direct and Social traffic.
You will be data driven, with a desire to learn more about our on-line customers and their experience online. You will be able to delve into the detail behind the numbers to understand the drivers of our on-line traffic; conversion and AOV measures and take actionable insight from this data.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Responsible for delivering the required traffic volumes
STRONG technical experience of all Digital Marketing techniques, across PPC; PLA; Retargeting; Affiliates; Display
Experience of attribution modelling
Manage the online marketing and customer experience budgets accordingly and ensure we achieve our required ROI on paid activity.
Manage the external agencies (s) responsible for the day to day Paid and SEO activity, plus CRM partner
Work with these agencies and Search engines to identify industry and technical changes that may present opportunities
Manage and support the Online Trading Manage in delivering a clear Trading and ensure this plan is complemented by a relevant strategy for Digital Marketing
Own the Content Marketing plans, with a clear plan of Content based activity to drive SEO and on-site brand experience
Take accountability for agreed Digital Marketing KPIs, and ensure that all activity is tagged, tracked and evaluated.
Be the go-to person in the company for Digital Marketing - you will be the subject matter expert, and have a responsibility to educate appropriate personnel in Digital Marketing.
Develop an Digital Marketing activity plan
Identify and take advantage of any partnership opportunities.
To assist in creation of business cases to justify new SaaS arrangements, and ensure the web development backlog is fed with online marketing and Customer experience requirements
Grow customer loyalty with the aim of increasing frequency of purchase, increasing lifetime shopper value and higher annual transactional values
Analyse and communicate e-CRM activity to the business, using insight to shape future activity
Proactively plan future activity - be the subject matter expert and lead with segmentation and personlisation plans
Manage and oversee the total customer database, including the development of a robust and actionable shopper-led segmentation strategy
Support the business to utilise the customer database for research
Own the customer welcome programme and proactively manage database size - driving recruitment up and unsubscribes down
Own all customer order comms, both automated and proactive. Ensure all comms are on-brand and achieve the required tone of voice
Use analysis and data skills to drive conversion and AOV.
Support the Online Trading manager in communicate overall web and category trading performance, with relevant insight to the business
Deliver a regular suite of ecommerce KPIs, with key insights, to the appropriate business audience
Proactive analysis of site user experience and performance, and presentation on findings and recommendations to key stakeholders
At least 3 years working within an ecommerce team
· Experience of managing a Digital Marketing team
· Experience of managing an external agency
· Good technical experience of all Digital Marketing techniques, across PPC; PLA; Retargeting; Affiliates; Display
· Strong experience of Managing ECRM and the technologies behind it
· Strong technical understanding of SEO
· A customer first attitude
· Understanding of web technology
· Experience of owning and communicating an Digital Marketing plan
· Thorough knowledge of Web KPIs, and accountability for appropriate ones
· Experience of owning and driving ROI on Digital Marketing
· Relevant forecasting experience
· Knowledge of Google Analytics or another industry leading Web analytics package
· AB / MVT testing experience
Knowledge and skills desirable:
· Knowledge of eCRM
· SEO technical expertise
· Evidence of conducting customer research and taking actions
· Experience of working within high growth ecommerce environment
· Educated to degree level
· Experience of working with a fashion retailer
· Evidence of performance with a results driven environment
