About the Role
We work with corporations, governments and law firms to meet legal, regulatory and investigative demands by leveraging our skills to enable our clients to more confidently govern, secure, find, analyse and rapidly understand their data in the context of compliance and risk.
A Managing Director Technology Analytics will have the opportunity to lead on high-profile international engagements, working closely with clients, legal teams and senior internal stakeholders. You will be expected to already have a reputation in the market as a specialist with a demonstratable client following. Work will include leading across all components of an engagement from initial client contact, problem identification, deal closure and delivery. Would will be expected to oversee teams undertake key tasks in execution including; data exploration, data science, visualisation and review, user experience and outcome reporting. The outcome from a typical engagement could lead to subsequent legal settlement, regulatory fines and even criminal prosecution - requiring a high degree of accuracy throughout all steps of the engagement.
As a Managing Director you will be expected to play a significant role in driving forward the next phase of growth of the Forensic Analytics practice in the Technology segment on the back of two years of exceptional growth in Europe. This is a key role within the team and the holder of the role will be exposed to the senior decision makers with FTI, its clients and regulatory bodies, offering significant opportunities. This role would fit a technical leader looking to advance their careers, whilst remaining technically focussed.
What You'll Do
Support proposition development in conjunction with your global and EMEA peers
Brand building in your market
Lead business development and closure of new clients and engagements
Oversee teams working on large engagements and / or multiple smaller engagements
Contribute and 'own' specific propositions and relationships with key technology partners - for example:
o Financial Crime - investigating, remediating and enhancing controls in the fight against financial crime
o Regulatory breach response - customer and data remediation
o Defensible archiving and retrieval - supporting banks wind-down high risk / underperforming businesses
Play a senior role in building-out the Forensic Analytics team across Europe working with the local offices in Paris, Madrid and Düsseldorf
Maintain your 'edge' in technical developments and how they relate to clients' issues
Support junior members of the team develop meaningful areas inside FTI Consulting
Deep practitioner in your chosen area of expertise
Proved ability to close large matters
Significant experience in data analytics, SW development or data science related role
Ability to manage teams of specialists and coach juniors
Confident and able to build trusting relationships with clients and peers
Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Practice development in people, operations and business support
Recognised leader in your chosen area (financial crime, regulatory breaches, etc)
Ability to sell
Good commercial acumen
Programme management across multiple streams of work and potentially across different locations
Technically proficient to oversee and lead delivery teams
