This is an opportunity to join a mid-sized, vibrant, and entrepreneurially led, fully integrated agency based on the outskirts of Manchester. It will also offer right individual to progress to a Digital Account Director role within 12 months as you will be in prime position to build their digital marketing offering.

The role

You will work on client sectors ranging from financial services, logistics and transport, professional services & technology to fintech, publishing, construction, pharma and education.
You’ll work with planning and design experts to map and analyse User Experience (UX) on client sites backed by conversion rate optimisation techniques. You’ll also manage the commercial and operational aspect of any agency tools and subscriptions required to deliver digital projects (SaaS tools, Email delivery platforms, automation tools etc).

This role will suit a digital generalist with solid experience in delivering campaigns that drive results. You’ll know your way around Google Analytics and AdWords and will be in your zone drafting reports based on activity and recommendations to continually improve results. You will be involved in all stages of project development from brief taking, to research, plan development, execution and evaluation. You will also be expected to identify and participate in initiatives to help to drive new business and client account organic growth. Similarly, you may have direct line management responsibility for more junior members of the account management team, responsible for their growth, learning and mentoring.

You will be responsible for delivering insightful and effective digital campaigns, ensuring key performance metrics are achieved. You will drive accounts forward, building client trust and playing a key role in the strategy development and tactical implementation of campaigns across all major networks i.e., Google, LinkedIn, Twitter, Bing etc. Social media campaign development experience is not essential but would be advantageous to your application.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a digital marketing whizz, who has a passion for all things search - paid and organic - and you’ll understand how to mastermind a website project which aligns with a customer journey and delivers meaningful conversions. You’ll be confident thinking across different digital channels and will understand what a digital marketing strategy needs to achieve to deliver return on client investment.

Digital marketing experience (ideally b2b), with a minimum of 4 years’ experience working within an agency or business-to-business in-house marketing environment. Able to track and advising on the latest paid search techniques across major networks including Google, Bing and LinkedIn and, manage the optimisation of paid search accounts and campaigns in line with key performance metrics. You’ll also be able to advise on PPC campaigns & experience of marketing automation platforms - Marketo, HubSpot, Pardot etc would be handy.

Someone who is at home in a small to mid-sizedspecialist b2b agency based amongst a team of specialists in their areas of expertise but work together on most large briefs to deliver the best output. They are currently remote-working (from home) and this is likely to continue for a few months yet but are well set up to work collaboratively. It is a great learning environment, where all knowledge is shared on a regular basis, with team offsite days and smaller lunchtime sessions.

Skills and experience are important, but they place equal importance on personality, attitude and cultural fit with the business values. A seasoned digital marketer and account handler, you’ll be a commensurate professional and self-starter, that’s passionate about digital marketing best practice and technologies. You’ll also be happy to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in as needed. You’ll be a genuine people person who enjoys supporting others and seeing junior members of the team thrive and develop under your guidance and mentoring. Lastly, a good sense of humour and a fun attitude to life is essential.
