My client is looking for someone to work 30 hours per week with the flexibility to be able to do full time 37.5 hours, or will also consider full time candidates.
Initially this is a 1 year fixed term contract, but highly likely it will go permanent.
The salary is £33k full time, so this would be pro rata’d down for part time.
Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, the purpose of the role is to perform a range of customer service duties to include all aspects of ordering, dispatching, customer queries and logistics functions.
My client is looking for someone who is very systems literate. You will need to be IT savvy, bright and robust there is a lot of compliance. Knowledge of word, Excel and PowerPoint is a muct, knowledge of SAP is desirable.
To action orders received for products from customers via fax or email
• by checking before processing that the customer name, delivery address, invoicing address, PO number, product name, quantity and price are clearly displayed and correct
• by contacting the customer for clarification should any of the above details be missing or unclear or should there be special instructions on the order (next day, same day delivery) which need to be actioned
• by contacting the relevant person should a price on a specific product needs confirmation before the order can be processed
• by checking that the customer has placed previous orders. In the case that the customer is new, checks of bona fides of all new customers should be performed according to the procedure in SOP UK-008 before the order is placed (i.e. GDP authorisation and financial authorisation checks should be performed before the customer is created in SAP)
To perform the daily billing and filling of orders processed and shipped the previous day
To resolve any customer queries as and when they arise
To ensure adequate product stock levels & up to date system pricing conditions
To take responsibility for personal development/training to ensure full understanding of all aspects of the customer service and logistics function.
To ensure compliance is in line with the Code of Practice and Code of Responsible Business Conduct
To perform ad hoc tasks as requested by the Customer Service Manager
