We are looking for a Senior Customer Risk Analyst. This is a new position within a new team at a very established company. This is a great opportunity to be part of something really exciting.
Our client is a payments company, offering various payment solutions to their customers in the hospitality, retail and corporate sectors. They have recently merged with a large international financial company, and its already very healthy growth has accelerated at an amazing rate. It is this bank which is now recruiting new staff to support its acquisition.

On a day to day basis you will be dealing with applications from clients who wish to take card payments in their business. Those with a very low risk will have been preapproved, and there is a team dealing with those with medium risk. You will be dealing with those with high risk factors and the larger corporate clients. You will need to consider the business model, financial status of the company, as well as things which are particular to each application. You will work closely with the sales team and Account Managers who will have brought on the client, and will also deal with the client’s internal teams as part of the process.
You will also be a point of escalation for the other Risk Analysts dealing with smaller deals. You will not be the manager of this team but will offer help, guidance and coaching where needed. Your point of escalation is the Risk Committee.
As the position is new you may have the opportunity to be involved in refining processes, finding the best ways of working, problem solving and this offers a real chance of progression and growth.
This role will use your strong business to business risk experience, strong and friendly communication skills, your organisation and your time management. You will be a steady pair of hands in a busy and ever-changing environment.
This will be a very busy role, with challenges and reward. The ideal candidate will have at least five years’ financial risk analysis experience, and be well versed in Microsoft Office. You will be analytical, responsible, commercially astute and fully autonomous.
Based in the north of Bishops Stortford, the offices are smart and provide a comfortable working environment. There is onsite parking and a staff kitchen. There are regular social events, pizza days, and the team make it a really great place to work.
The salary for this role will be around £40,000, depending upon your relevant experience. The company also offer a pension, 20 days holiday, plus bank holidays, private healthcare and a varied benefits scheme.
