McIver Scott now have another excellent opportunity working with a fast growing Accident Management firm in Merseyside. They are looking for specialised Credit Hire claims handlers to join their team of professionals and be part of their expanding and developing business.

The ideal candidate must have strong technical skills within Credit Hire and Recoveries and also be able to take on some managerial tasks to help run the office.

You must also be able to work to team’s targets/objectives and work together to achieve them and you have the technical know-how and drive to succeed.

You will be involved in reviewing processes and systems and make recommendations for improvement as part of the ongoing aim of achieving operational excellence.

You also must be able to communicate with the relevant department managers/agents to highlight issues that may have a detrimental effect on the quality of service provided or affect the businesses reputation and be able to undertake other such duties related to the work and appropriate to the post, as directed by Claims management/management team.

As a senior handler you must have an excellent understanding of credit hire claims handling including non GTA and GTA procedures and an understanding of the litigation procedures and impact and have a good understanding of Motor claims including Personal Injury matters.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Educated to at least grade C GCSE level in Mathematics and English.

Previous experience working within Credit Hire

Preferably working towards gaining a Management qualification at level 3 or Insurance qualification.

Legal qualifications desirable.

Preferred Skills

Clear and professional communication skills (both verbal and written)

Experience of credit hire/claims management in a claims environment.

Ideally some personal injury experience.

Excellent knowledge of motor claims handling, ideally including intervention/capture of claims.

Experience of developing others in a variety of situations.

Good I.T skills and familiar with MS Outlook, Word, Excel and Proclaim is advantageous.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
