Fast growing retail business based in the Altrincham area requires a Senior Credit Controller. Reporting to the Financial Controller this is a stand alone role that will give the right candidate every opportunity to make the role their own.
Duties of the role will include:
- Timely and effective collection of all debts
- Customer credit checks
- Liaising closely with sales team to resolve customer queries
- Maintaining accurate records of chasing activity
- Posting and allocating daily receipts
- Monthly and weekly progress reports to senior management
- Customer account reconciliation
- Credit Control/Accounts Receivable - at least 2 years
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills - including v-lookups and pivot tables
- Basic knowledge of fundamental accounting concepts - going concern, accruals, consistency and prudence.
- Basic knowledge of double entry.
- Previous experience of working with retail accounts, big in volume, small in value.
