Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will be responsible ensuring the proactive and timely collection of company debt and as part of a team, ensure customers pay on time. You will ensure that customer credit limits are set in accordance with proper risk assessment procedures and are strictly managed. Also involved will be managing overdue balances & resolving queries by contacting customers by phone, email and letter.
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned Credit Controller with a hollistic understanding of the overarching role that the Credit Control function plays within the Accounts function.
You will be more than just a debt collector - you will understand the importance of meeting deadlines, managing credit limits and managing client relationships as part of the process.
You must be personable yet tenacious, switched on and commercially minded.
The ability to work unsupervised is very important. You should have a methodical and dynamic approach to problem-solving and have a significant awareness of the commercial impact that your role plays within the company. A proven track-record in streamlining processes and bringing new, innovative ideas is also welcomed.
