Senior Credit Controller & Credit Controller
Birmingham Business Park, Solihull
The Credit Control team play a key role in minimising our credit risk and ensure all accounts are paid on time, maximising our cash flow and preventing account arrears. This involves managing and setting appropriate credit limits and actively communicating with customers to ensure all payments are made on time.
You will accurately forecast cash flow, DSO and fully reconcile these important KPIs to actuals, focusing on aged debt to determine bad debt provision. You will also produce monthly KPI reports and be prepared to present this information.
We continually look at process improvements to not only eliminate waste, but to provide customers with first class customer service, delivering results on challenging targets and following Company policies and procedures.
You will have either the Institute of Credit Management or similar accounting qualification, or be working towards this and have strong numerical and analytical skills.
Experience of credit control processes and practices in an organisation of similar size with high value debt is essential. You will have knowledge of insolvency and litigation, financial transactions, payment methods, integrated financial systems, financial statements, credit risk and SOX obligations.
A good level of IT literacy is required, specifically Microsoft Excel. You will be comfortable using functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas and charts. Experience of SAP would be an advantage.
Confident with managinglarge volumes of data and able to communicate effectively in verbal and written formats to a wide range of stakeholders. A proactive and resourceful approach to resolving problems coupled with negotiation skills are paramount. Able to problem solve, you should also be able to demonstrate how you have contributed or led on Continuous Improvements.
You must also be able to manage customer expectations whilst maintaining and building confidence.
A full clean UK driving licence and a permanent right to work in the UK is essential.
