Senior Comms & Engagement Officer

As a Senior Communications and Engagement Officer for the largest of the seven NHS regions, you will work as part of a dynamic and fast-paced regional communications team in an essential key worker role at a time when the work of the NHS has arguably never been more important.

Reporting to the Senior Communications and Engagement Manager for strategic communications, you will support the team in the delivery of all aspects of strategic communications with a clear focus on campaigns, internal and digital communications, including social media and events.

Your working day will be varied with competing deadlines, so you’ll need to be efficient, well-organised, confident working independently and be able to use your own initiative to develop new ideas that work.

While you don’t need to have NHS experience for this role, it is important that you demonstrate that you are passionate and enthusiastic, are able to learn quickly and are adept at dealing with people at all levels. And while also not essential, we are particularly keen to hear from anyone with a flair for and experience in social media and content creation, including video production and graphic design.

Please note that the reason for the fixed term of this contract is to back-fill an internal secondment.

The temporary contract will therefore terminate on 31st March 2021, to allow the substantive post holder to resume the duties of their substantive post.
