Senior Commercial Property Lawyer - Flexible Working - 5+ PQE

Our client is a very different law firm. They provide their clients with 'virtual' legal support and this is delivered exclusively by experienced solicitors. They provide highly commercial and technically strong advice and do this at a cost which compares extremely favourably with other, more conventional legal practices. They have an impressive client base which includes businesses ranging from FTSE 100 multinationals, to proprietor managed companies in sectors as diverse as rail, logistics, property development, manufacturing and high tech.

The lawyers are primarily home-based and are supported by all the technology and legal resources they need to provide an excellent service. They meet up regularly as a team and promote a highly flexible working environment. Collegiate in the way they manage their business, they we aim to put everyone in a position not only to achieve a great deal of job satisfaction, but also to really enjoy working with them.

They want to add another commercial property lawyer to their team and are looking for lawyers (solicitors or barristers) who would like to join a business like this. The successful candidate will have excellent academic and work credentials and at least 5 years PQE. Equally importantly, you will need to be a good fit with our client's team; so as well as being charismatic and personable, you will also be highly motivated, client focused and will have a demonstrably commercial approach with plenty of initiative.

The current practice areas include corporate/commercial, dispute resolution, commercial property, property litigation, employment, tax and insolvency.

Although the business is growing quickly, at the moment our client would not be able to guarantee sufficient work to occupy someone full-time, so we are interested in people who would enjoy the flexibility of working from home but do not want to make a full-time commitment. They are open-minded in their approach to compensation (although they have an established model which works well) and would aim to agree terms with any successful applicant which offered an appropriate reward. You do not need to have a client following but if you did bring new clients into our business, you would be rewarded for that.

If you would like to know more, please send your CV in confidence to Nick Benson. We will respond to every applicant.

By applying for this role, your details will be sent to Ortolan People, who are acting as consultants for the hiring company. Ortolan People are engaged to provide recruitment support in processing applications. We will endeavour to respond to all applicants within three working days. Occasionally for roles with a very high volume of applicants, this may not be possible.
