A market leading retail organisation, based in London is seeking an interim (3-6m) Senior Commercial Finance Analyst to join the business at an exciting period of growth, diversity and transformation.
This role will support the Director of FP&A in the preparation and execution of the Brand Plan whilst working closely with the Brand Management team to support them in managing their business by providing them with timely and insightful analysis.
Support the Director of FP&A to execute the Brand Plan
Preparation of the Annual Brand Plan, covering Distributor, Retail, Wholesale and E-Commerce channels and subsequent forecast updates
Timely reporting on business performance, through Brand/Channel reporting packs, including explanation of variances between the actual results and the Plan/Forecast
Provision of management information to enable Brand Management to make informed decisions and drive their business forward
Work with Brand Management to prepare Annual Plan and Quarterly re forecasts
Review of Sales, GM and Opex and provide appropriate challenge, where necessary
Validation of Plan/Forecasts against Regional, Corporate and Omni-channel Targets
Preparation and Distribution of Monthly Brand reporting packs
Inclusion of insightful commentary providing explanations of variances between actual and Plan/Forecast
Analysis of Sales and GM% by Order Class (Pre-Orders, Re-Orders, Closeouts, Other)
Supporting the decision-making process to ensure outcomes make financial and commercial sense
Support Product Director with seasonal pricing confirmation, to ensure Plan margins targets are met
Review of order book in total and by Class and comparison to Plan, Forecast and LY, highlighting areas of risk and opportunity
Qualifications and experience:
A highly driven and self-motivated Commercial Business Partner, who is able to interact with all areas of the business, to build accurate budgets, forecasts and produce timely, relevant analysis to facilitate the decision-making process.
Qualified or qualified by experience accountant with extensive Financial Planning and Analysis experience, who can interpret and manipulate pure financial information into insightful analysis.
Able to spot trends and draw to the attention of management
Keep up to date with Business Systems, changes and processes
Improve/Development of reporting in line with Business priorities
Experience of business partnering with Commercial Leaders
Ability to interpret and present non-financial information effectively
Strong financial modelling & analytical skills
Advanced skills in Excel, Hyperion/Essbase/Oracle
