Senior CNC Miller - Programmer or Setter
Our client is a long established precision engineering company based in Gosport/Fareham with a close-knit team, and modern working environment within new premises and continual investment in machinery. They manufacture a wide variety of small batch, high-quality products mostly for the Oil & Gas Industry.
They are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior CNC Miller -who can Programmer complex jobs and is used to working with a variety of small batch components/products, you would be working on their CNC Mills (mostly 3/4 axis) alongside around 15 other engineers
The company is well established and successful, the work on complex products so you will be challenged, this is often a fast-paced environment. The role can pay circa £15 to £16 per hour (depending on skill set) if you have capabilities that also span CNC Turning then there could be room in the salary.
The role includes some overtime if you wish to work it, a standard week is 39 hours per week but most people work overtime, they are open from 7.30am to 5.30am and you can work your hours between with overtime as you wish, providing it is available (which it mostly is). There is free parking on site.
The suitable candidate will have:-
Experience within the sub-contract, precision engineering industry within environment producing small batches and/or one-off parts.
Experienced CNC Engineer with a desire to become a Senior Engineer
Recent experience of programming CNC Mills
You will ideally have expertise using Heidenhain controls although other controls may be considered
Proficiency in reading engineering drawings
Able to prioritise your own workload, able to work under pressure
You must be able to program and/or efficiently without supervision
