An exciting immediately available Contractor opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and ambitious Senior Project Manager, based in Beckenham, to lead key projects for one of our Flagship clients. Link Market Services provides share register management services for public companies. Link Market Services also offers a range of associated services for shareholders and employees, in the form of employee share plan administration and share dealing, supported by back office functions and on-line applications.

In this Contractor role you will have opportunity to shape services to the clients and to Project Manage new initiatives that the client wants to explore. You will have a strong background of delivering projects within budget, on schedule and to agreed quality, through the use of best project management practices.

What being a Senior Client Facing Project Manager involves:

  • Management of projects/initiatives with matrix management responsibilities within an overall large programme structure.

  • Produce and maintain project, resource, budget and quality plans, track risks, issues and actions to ensure project objectives are
    met.

  • Effective management and reporting of all project stages to provide structure and control throughout project lifecycle including management of entry / exit criteria for each stage.

  • Employ implementation and release management to ensure smooth transition to live operation and handover to business and IT operational teams.

  • Provide support to end users so that the success of a project can be effectively measured after its implementation into live operation and track the project objectives and benefits are being realised.

  • Manage relationships and ensure effective communication between project participants and maintain good working relationships with client and all delivery teams and project stakeholders including internal delivery teams, external suppliers, test teams, operational teams and external clients.

Qualifications

Skills and Qualities you will need:

  • Proven full project life cycle experience in financial services.

  • Significant experience in a project management role or senior management based role with project leadership responsibility.

  • Proven client management experience.

  • Experience/qualification in formal project management methodology for example Prince 2/APMP.

  • Good understanding of project management principles- planning, tracking, risk management, issue management reporting, change control using Microsoft Project.

  • Delivery of business & IT related projects.

  • Experience of working within a regulated environment and dealing with legal, compliance, IT, operations, client services and marketing (desirable)

  • Experience of GDPR desirable
