As a Senior Children’s Support Worker, you will be a positive role model to the support team and lead by example. Responsibilities will involve:
- Providing physical and emotional support, through therapeutic practices.
- Involving each individual in all decisions that affect them, encouraging independence.
- Encouraging each child to partake in social activities and pursue hobbies.
- Offer ongoing support and enable rather than doing.
- Involved in care planning and carrying out risk assessments.
What experience and qualifications will you need to be a Senior Children’s Support Worker?
You will have at least 1 years’ experience in a children’s residential home and hold a Level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce, or Residential Childcare. You will also be a car driver. Above all you will have a positive, proactive and passionate nature.
Hours and benefits?
This is a full-time role, £9.60 per hour.
Shift work is available, including early mornings, afternoons, evenings and nights.
