Job Title: Senior Chef de Partie

Responsible to: Head Chef/Sous Chef

Directly Supervises: Commis Chef/ Demi CDP

Scope and purpose of job: To assist in preparing and cooking all table d’hôte, à la carte and other menus to the satisfaction of the customers and in accordance with the standards required by the Head Chef and the Catering Management.

To provide outstanding levels of hospitality.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To prepare and cook all fish and meat products.
  • To prepare and cook all vegetables.
  • To prepare and cook all hot sweets.
  • To grill as required.
  • To prepare sauces.
  • To assist in cleaning the kitchen, fridge and freezers and maintain a high level of hygiene at all times.
  • To assist in training registered trainees.
  • To assist the Head Chef in menu planning
  • To liaise with the Head/Sous Chef
  • To check the kitchen laundry.
  • To deal with house property as per house policy.
  • To order, check and receive inwards goods.
  • To assist with outside functions.
  • To assist with stock checking.
  • To carry out fire and accident procedures.
  • To ensure that all materials and equipment are not left in a hazardous state.
  • To report and, where possible, take action on incidents of accident, fire, loss or damage.
  • To ensure a high standard of personal hygiene and grooming.
  • To wear relevant uniform and at all times.
  • To deputise in the absence of the Head Chef and Sous Chef and carry out other duties as and when required by general management.
  • Any other tasks within the job holder’s capabilities.
