We are looking to recruit to our Senior Charge Nurse position for inpatient mental health services in Lochgilphead.
The inpatients mental health service recently moved in to the community hospital to provide a newly refurbished, therapeutic, recovery focussed environment for our patients, the ward consists of 21 acute beds and allows for closer working within a community hospital environment and services.
If you are enthusiastic, motivated and willing to take forward the mental health care agenda we want to hear from you. You will be organised, have excellent communication, problem solving and decision making skills. Evidence of leading a team through improvement work is desirable and the ability to support and manage staff is essential.
The post holder carries 24 hour continuing responsibility and will provide visible clinical leadership and general management to the nursing team to ensure safe and effective clinical practice, enhance the patients experience of care, ensure the health and safety of staff, patients, visitors and contractors, ensure effective workforce planning within a negotiated budget and manage and develop the performance of the team.
First level nursing qualification (appropriate part of NMC Register relevant to area) with first degree or evidence of continuing professional development equivalent to level 9 of Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) as a minimum.
