Overview:

The purpose of this role is to be a technical focal point for the team, up-skilling all members including trainees as well as assisting the Team Manager. In addition, you will be responsible for handling a portfolio of your own investigations from screening through to resolution.

Responsibilities:

  • Handling a portfolio of higher value claims and specialist claims relating to Fraud. (Up to £100k).
  • Deputising for the Home CFT Manager in their absence, with all aspects of Managing the Team, to ensure the Teams work activity is completed in a timely manner.
  • Assisting the Home CFT Manager with ad-hoc project work as and when required.
  • Assisting the Home CFT Manager with technical aspects of developing and training a specialist team of counter-fraud Investigators.
  • Assisting in the identification of fraudulent home claims.
  • Responsible for ensuring that industry intelligence is appropriately acted upon.
  • To be a point of contact for the Insurance Fraud Enforcement Department of the City of London Police (IFED) and a point of contact for regional Police forces throughout the UK. In this component of the role the role holder will: Produce witness statements and evidential packages for the use of the Police and Crown Prosecution Service
  • Attend Criminal Court trials and give evidence on behalf of MSG (as required by the Crown Prosecution Service)
  • Report appropriate fraud cases to the Police
  • Assisting where required in the auditing of the team work.
  • Monitoring the service provided by suppliers and providing feedback as appropriate.
