Naynesh Mistry is currently recruiting for a motivated Plant Cell Culture Scientist to join growing company focused on the production of high value vegetable oils using a unique biotechnology process. My client is transitioning to a commercial production environment from an R&D setting and looking for an motivated Scientist to drive the company forward to production. This role comes with excellent benefits and will report to the General Manager.
The successful individual will plan, develop, direct and co-ordinate the Company's product development and QC operations and the cell culture aspects of the three production initiatives.
You will have an opportunity to build on existing cell culture experience and cell line characterisation knowledge to solve complex problems regarding the cell culture and contribute to the development of new methodologies and processes within the R&D and QC team and the up-scaled manufacturing operations.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in related bio-science and upscaling in the bioengineering field.
The specific duties and responsibilities of this role will be to:
· Provide leadership on all of the scientific aspects throughout the product development process, from tissue culture production to manufacturing, to quality control and quality assurance.
· Key contact to external partners for science related topics
You are required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- MSc in Biological Science or equivalent.
- Strong cell culture experience in Biotech or Pharma industries.
- Experience of working in a regulated environment
