Previous experience of handling PI and D&O claims is essential.
Duties and Responsibilities
To organise and manage their caseload and ensure the service standards on their claims are aligned with the quality and service standards of the whole team.
To pro-activity manage the service providers used and benchmark their service against the documented service agreements.
Handle, adjust and negotiate settlement of the Syndicate's claims including the management of specific insured's and coverholder's accounts ensuring that claims are handled within their claims authority with any referrals being made to the Casualty Claims Manager.
Liaise with and establish good relationships with brokers, solicitors, adjusters, experts, TPAs and coverholders in connection with claims related matters.
Work with the actuarial and underwriting teams to assist in the preparation of claims information for underwriting renewals and reserving meetings.
Update the underwriters and Claims Manager on significant claims or trends affecting their accounts including the completion of major loss reports.
Ensure claims are managed effectively through diary, significant injury and watch-list maintenance and static and outstanding query review
To assist the Claims Manager in the coaching and mentoring of junior team members
