Senior Care and Support Worker
My client is an award winning care provider. They pride themselves on the high quality of care that they provide to elderly and end of life residents. Their homes are individual and full of character and their staff are dedicated, kind and highly skilled.
Better Healthcare are currently recruiting for a Senior Care and Support Worker who can offer a high standard of care. Who can work as part of a team maintaining the personal care needs of residents while respecting their dignity and promoting independence.
The home is a grade II listed building providing respite and residential care and support to 53 residents and award winning care for their dementia residents. There is a real family feel to this home and that is testament to the friendly team that run it.
Pay rate up to £9.75 per hour
Permanent Position - Full time (36 hour)
Well-developed time management skills
Pro-active approach to decision making and able to work under pressure
Knowledge of food hygiene preparation or a willingness to learn
A willingness to undertake specialised training courses.
Proven care experience in a similar setting
Excellent verbal/written communication skills and able to communicate at all levels
Able to work as part of a team
Have an empathetic and professional approach to residents and relatives
Supervise, induct and train Support Workers.
To provide high quality care to residents ensuring the personal care needs of residents are provided to a high quality.
To contribute to the running of the home by working as a team adhering to company policies and procedures
To continue personal development through training and development meetings and supervisions.
To assist residents who have limited mobility, physical and/or learning difficulties.
Undertake domestic task
Assist with activities by interacting with residents and assisting them with their hobbis and chosen activities.
