Senior Buyer

Our client is a growing, UK & International, market-leading manufacturer requiring a Senior Buyer to join the Procurement function. Ideally, you will have gained experienced within fast-paced manufacturing operations, with a demonstrated track record of managing direct material spend categories and contract negotiation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement regional strategies for direct category spend.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable and long-term source of supply.
• Evaluate and select new suppliers in line with business needs.
• Identify cost saving opportunities and quality improvements.
• Manage Tender and RFQ (Request for Quotation) processes including creating necessary supporting documentation.
• Negotiate and agree Framework Agreements; Rebate Agreements and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with Key Suppliers and evaluate existing contracts to ensure compliance with company policies.
• Resolve Supplier or product issues to meet price, delivery, and quality requirements.

Skills & Experience:

• End to end Procurement experience gained within manufacturing operations
• Experience in category management and contract evaluation
• MCIPS or working towards desirable
• A collaborative approach to team working
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Negotiation and Influencing Skills
• Good Microsoft Office skills
