Zachary Daniels jobs

Senior Buyer | National Food Retailer | West Midlands | Up to £60,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus

If you're an experienced Senior Buyer or a strong Buyer ready to step up, this could be the move you've been waiting for. I'm working with a nationally recognised food retailer looking to strengthen their team with someone commercially sharp and confident managing fresh food or fast-paced grocery categories.

This Senior Buyer role sits in a team of 10 and reports into a Senior Trading Controller. It offers a broad scope - you'll lead category strategy, manage supplier relationships, and work cross-functionally with pricing, finance, and supply chain to deliver real results. If you've got a head for numbers and a passion for driving product performance, you'll thrive here.

What sets this Senior Buyer opportunity apart is the balance of autonomy and support. There's room to influence decisions, challenge processes, and shape how the category performs. It's a team that backs ideas and values people who take ownership.

Key info:

  • Up to £60,000 basic + car allowance + bonus

  • Hybrid working: 3 days in the West Midlands office, 2 from home

  • Strong internal support network with clear progression routes

  • Big-name brand with national reach

You'll need solid experience in retail or wholesale buying, ideally at Senior Buyer level or close to it. Fresh food knowledge will give you an advantage, but it's not essential - attitude and commercial thinking count just as much.

Sound like you?
Drop me a message. I'll walk you through the role, the business, and whether this Senior Buyer position aligns with your next step.
